Everton finally broke their duck at Bournemouth with a 1-0 win, thanks to Jack Grealish's 78th-minute winner. This marks their first-ever league victory at the Vitality Stadium, ending Bournemouth's seven-game unbeaten league run at home.

The first half was indeed subdued, with both teams struggling to create chances. It was a game lacking quality and cutting edge, and it took a stroke of luck to make the difference. Grealish's shot deflected off Bafode Diakite and into the net, securing a vital win for the Toffees.

The game was low on excitement until the 23rd minute, when Antoine Semenyo had the first real chance, firing a powerful shot towards goal that Jordan Pickford saved well. Everton's biggest threat came from James Garner's inswinging corners just before halftime, with Alex Scott's header hitting the crossbar and Thierno Barry's follow-up almost finding the net, only for Djordje Petrovic and the post to deny him.

Junior Kroupi thought he had scored at the end of the first half, beating Pickford at the near post, but the offside flag was up, and rightly so. Replays confirmed Kroupi was offside, meeting Amine Adli's flick-on.

The first half was a dull affair, with only the second goalless first half in Everton's past seven away games. The visitors almost took the lead 11 minutes after the break, with Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall leading a counter-attack that led to Thierno Barry's chance, but Djordje Petrovic made a crucial save. Barry then blazed over from James Garner's cross, missing a chance to score his first Everton goal.

Everton finally broke the deadlock in the 78th minute, thanks to Jack Grealish's stunning goal. The Manchester City loanee picked up possession 25 yards out, drove into the penalty area, and unleashed a right-footed shot that deflected off Bafode Diakite, leaving Petrovic helpless. It was Grealish's second goal for Everton, and it proved to be the winner in a 1-0 victory over Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.

Bournemouth pushed for an equalizer, with Iliman Ndiaye's fierce effort repelled by Petrovic. Everton held on to secure a 1-0 win, with Toffees boss David Moyes claiming his eighth victory over the Cherries, seven of those being shutouts.

The win sees Everton leapfrog Bournemouth in the Premier League table, ending the night in the top half (10th), while Bournemouth slip to 14th. A vital win for Everton, and a crucial three points in their fight for survival.
