Newcastle United ended their winless away run with a 4-1 thrashing of Everton at Hill Dickinson Stadium. Malick Thiaw scored a brace, including the fastest goal of the Premier League season, to lead Newcastle to their first away win of the campaign.

Everton had recently enjoyed a high point, beating Manchester United 1-0 at Old Trafford despite playing with 10 men after Idrissa Gueye's red card. However, they struggled to replicate that form against Newcastle, conceding four goals and slipping to 14th in the Premier League table.

Things got tough for them early on, conceding a goal in the opening minute. Malick Thiaw headed home from a corner, capitalizing on a Jordan Pickford save from Anthony Elanga's shot.

West Ham looked disjointed in the early stages, and Michael Keane's crucial block denied Harvey Barnes a second goal. They were struggling to cope with the pace.

David Moyes' side struggled, and it got worse as they conceded a second goal. Tino Livramento's shot deflected to Lewis Miley, who flapped at it, and the ball ended up in the net.

Things went from bad to worse before halftime, with Anthony Elanga setting up Nick Woltemade for a tap-in, making it 3-0.

The half-time whistle was met with boos and jeers from the home crowd, with some fans leaving the stadium in disgust. David Moyes made a change, bringing on Carlos Alcaraz, who almost made an instant impact with a thunderous shot that hit the crossbar.

Everton's struggles continued, and they were grateful to have conceded only three goals at halftime, considering their poor display.

Harvey Barnes missed a one-on-one, and Newcastle capitalized. Lewis Hall's delivery found Malick Thiaw, who powered it home for his second goal, sealing Newcastle's 4-1 win.

Everton managed to pull one back through Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall's brilliant strike, but it was too little too late. Thierno Barry had a goal disallowed for handball earlier, and Newcastle had already sealed their 4-1 win.

With the game won, Eddie Howe made changes in the closing stages, hoping this result will mark a turning point for Newcastle's away form. The Magpies had been struggling on the road, but this emphatic victory could be the boost they need.

It's a tough day for Everton, suffering their heaviest defeat at Hill Dickinson Stadium and crashing back to earth after their win over Manchester United.
