Liverpool manager Arne Slot to discuss Mohamed Salah's future and Brighton availability. Slot confirms meeting with Salah, amid speculation over Egyptian's Liverpool plans.
“I think the next time I speak about Mo should be with him and not in here. You can keep on trying but there is not much more to say about it...”
Liverpool boss Arne Slot will speak to Mohamed Salah on Friday morning before deciding on his availability for Saturday's match against Brighton. This meeting comes after Salah accused Liverpool of throwing him “under the bus” and said he had no relationship with Slot following his third consecutive benching at Leeds.
Slot is yet to make a final decision on Salah's participation, and everything hinges on their conversation. Mohammed Salah's recent absence from the starting lineup has sparked speculation about his future at the club.
The 33-year-old, who didn't travel with Liverpool to Inter Milan for Tuesday's Champions League match, shared a gym selfie, showing he's staying focused and working hard while the team plays away.
“I will have a conversation with Mo this morning, the outcome of that conversation determines how things will look tomorrow,” Slot told his pre-match press conference.
“I think the next time I speak about Mo should be with him and not in here. You can keep on trying but there is not much more to say about it.
“After the Sunderland game (a 1-1 draw earlier this month in which Salah was a substitute) there were a lot of conversations between his representatives and ours, between him and me.”
Slot batted away further questions from reporters about the forward, saying, “I have no reasons not wanting him to stay, and that is a little bit of an answer to your question.” This cryptic response has fueled speculation about the player's future at the club.

Meanwhile, Salah is gearing up to join the Egypt squad for the Africa Cup of Nations after the Brighton game at Anfield. The forward's achievements at Liverpool have been impressive - he's third in the club's all-time scoring charts and has won two Premier League titles and one Champions League triumph during his time on Merseyside.
Mohamed Salah's season has been underwielding, with just four goals in 13 Premier League appearances. The Egyptian superstar's form has been a concern, especially given Liverpool's struggles this season.
Liverpool's current league position doesn't reflect their achievements - they're 10th in the table, a far cry from last season's 20th English league title triumph. The Reds are looking to bounce back, and Salah's participation against Brighton could be a crucial factor.
