Gary O'Neil is reportedly in line for a sensational return to Wolverhampton Wanderers as the club considers him to replace the sacked Vitor Pereira. The 42-year-old former Wolves manager has been without a job since his dismissal last December.
According to reports from The Athletic's David Ornstein, O'Neil is being seriously considered for a return to Molineux, where he previously managed the team. If appointed, it would mark a dramatic U-turn for the club, which sacked him just 11 months ago and replaced him with Pereira.

Vitor Pereira's dismissal came after a disastrous start to the season, with Wolves accumulating just two points and propping up the Premier League table. The club's worst-ever start to a campaign prompted the board to take drastic action.
According to reports, Middlesbrough's Rob Edwards and former Sunderland manager Michael Carrick are also being considered for the role. Gary O'Neil, however, is said to be a strong contender for a return to the club he previously managed.
