Aston Villa dominated Bournemouth with a 4-0 win at Villa Park, extending their unbeaten head-to-head run to six games. This marked Bournemouth's first successive Premier League defeats of the season. Villa's Emiliano Buendia scored a superb free kick, followed by Amadou Onana's stunning strike just before halftime.
Aston Villa's strong performance continued after the break, with Ross Barkley and Donyell Malen adding to the score. Bournemouth's Antoine Semenyo had a penalty saved by Emiliano Martinez, dashing the Cherries' hopes of a comeback. Villa's victory moves them up to seventh place, while Bournemouth drops to ninth on goal difference.
Emiliano Buendia's stunning free-kick gave Aston Villa the lead against Bournemouth, with the Argentine showcasing his technique by quickly getting the ball up and down from the edge of the box. This goal takes his tally to three Premier League goals for the season.
Aston Villa continued to dominate Bournemouth, and Amadou Onana's long-range effort sealed a deserved second goal. The Belgian midfielder's right-foot shot, set up by Morgan Rogers's neat layoff, raced past Petrović at the near post. Onana's first Villa goal since April put Bournemouth two goals down at halftime, leaving Andoni Iraola with significant work to do.
Iraola’s words initially had a positive impact, as the Cherries showed greater intent following the restart, although their efforts to establish a foothold were negated by Martinez and the woodwork.

The Villa goalkeeper scrambled back to push Alex Scott’s deflected effort over the bar, shortly before Evanilson crashed his header against the upright from a deep corner.
Evanilson won a penalty, but Aston Villa's Emiliano Martinez proved why he's a penalty-saving specialist. Martinez pounced low to his right, getting a strong hand to Antoine Semenyo's spot-kick, denying Bournemouth a lifeline.
Aston Villa sealed their win with two clinical set-pieces, Ross Barkley heading home from Lucas Digne's corner, and Donyell Malen deflecting Youri Tielemans's shot into the net. These late goals wrapped up a 4-0 victory, lifting Villa to seventh and dropping Bournemouth to ninth on goal difference.
