The Giants have sent outfielder Heliot Ramos to the Yankees in a deadline deal, with New York giving up infielder Kaeden Kent and right-handed pitcher Henry Lalane in return.

Ramos, 26, is hitting .264/.304/.424 with 9 home runs and 34 RBI this season - a drop from his previous two years, when he posted 20+ homers and 65+ RBI in both.

The 5-year veteran has spent his entire MLB career in San Francisco.

Kent, 22, is heading to the same franchise where his dad, Jeff, made his Hall of Fame career. Ranked as the Yankees' No. 13 prospect, Kaeden is batting .302/.359/.433 this year in High-A with 6 home runs, 43 RBI and 20 stolen bases.

Lalane, also 22, has posted a 2.77 ERA across 16 appearances - 15 of them starts - split between Single-A and High-A. In 78 innings he’s struck out 98, while allowing 52 hits and 26 walks.
