Juventus sacks Coach Igor Tudor after eight-match winless run

Juventus has officially parted ways with head coach Igor Tudor due to a dismal run of results, highlighted by an eight-match winless streak in all competitions. The club announced the decision on Monday, following their 1-0 loss to Lazio on Sunday.

Juventus has parted ways with head coach Igor Tudor after a disappointing run that saw the team go without a win in eight consecutive matches. This decision comes after Sunday's 1-0 defeat to Lazio, which marked the third straight loss for the Italian giants.

Massimo Brambilla will take the reins as interim coach, leading the team in their upcoming fixtures. Juventus is set to face Udinese at home on Wednesday, followed by a trip to Cremonese on Saturday. The team will then host Sporting in the Champions League in eight days, a crucial match that will test their European ambitions.

Luciano Spalletti and Raffaele Palladino are the top contenders to replace Igor Tudor as Juventus' new coach. Spalletti, who recently parted ways with the Italian national team, is a seasoned coach with a successful track record, including guiding Napoli to the Serie A title in 2023.

Coach Profiles

Luciano Spalletti: A highly experienced coach known for his tactical flexibility and ability to get the best out of his teams. He led Napoli to the Serie A title in 2023 and was the Italy national team coach until June 2025.

Raffaele Palladino: A promising young coach with an attacking philosophy and talent development skills. He has made a name for himself with Monza and Fiorentina, and his appointment could bring a fresh perspective to Juventus.

The club's recent eight-match winless streak in all competitions has sparked a crisis, prompting the board to consider new coaching leadership. With Spalletti and Palladino in the running, Juventus is poised for a significant change in its fortunes.

The brief club statement read: “Juventus FC announces that it has today relieved Igor Tudor of his duties as head coach of the Men's First Team, along with his staff consisting of Ivan Javorcic, Tomislav Rogic and Riccardo Ragnacci.

“The Club also announces that it has temporarily entrusted the Men's First Team to Massimo Brambilla, who will be on the bench for the Juventus-Udinese match on Wednesday evening.

“The Club thanks Igor Tudor and his entire staff for their professionalism and dedication over the past few months and wishes them all the best for their future careers.”

Juventus has struggled lately, with an eight-game winless streak since September 13. Their recent losses to Como, Real Madrid, and Lazio led to the sacking of their coach, Igor Tudor.

In Serie A, Juventus sits in eighth place, trailing Napoli and Roma by five points. Their Champions League campaign hasn't fared better, with the team currently ranking 25th with only two points, placing them outside the playoff positions.
