Bayern Munich maintained their winning streak with a commanding 3-0 victory over 10-man Borussia Monchengladbach, thanks in part to the impressive performance of youngster Lennart Karl, who became the club's third-youngest goalscorer in Bundesliga history.

The match got off to a delayed start, with Bayern's bus arriving 15 minutes late due to traffic. However, it was the home team that nearly scored first when Luis Diaz fired a right-footed shot just wide of the target in the opening minute.

Karl's contributions helped seal the win for Bayern, who dominated the match despite being the visiting team. The German champions have now won 13 consecutive games to start the season, solidifying their position at the top of the Bundesliga table.

As the only winless side in the Bundesliga, Gladbach faced a daunting challenge against league leaders Bayern Munich. Their task became even more arduous when Jens Castrop was sent off in the 18th minute for a reckless tackle on Diaz.

Gladbach responded by adopting a compact defensive shape, aiming to frustrate Bayern's attack. Despite this, the Munich side managed to create a couple of opportunities for Harry Kane and Tom Bischof to test Gladbach's goalkeeper Moritz Nicolas towards the end of the first half.

Nicolas made crucial interventions to keep Gladbach in the game, helping his team reach halftime without conceding. This achievement marked a milestone, as Gladbach became the first team to prevent Bayern from scoring in the first half this season.

Bayern came out with renewed intensity after the break, determined to breach Gladbach's defense. However, their efforts were thwarted by Nicolas and Kevin Diks, who combined to deny Michael Olise twice in quick succession. Harry Kane also had a goal ruled out for offside, showcasing the defensive resilience of Gladbach.

The delay was short-lived, as Bayern broke the deadlock just a couple of minutes later. Joshua Kimmich stepped up to deliver a clinical finish into the bottom corner after his initial shot was blocked.

Gladbach's resolve crumbled after the first goal, and Bayern quickly added a second just before the hour mark. Half-time substitute Raphael Guerreiro finished clinically after being set up by Michael Olise, sweeping the ball past the onrushing Nicolas.

The hosts' misery deepened when Kevin Stoger blasted a penalty against the post after Tom Bischof was penalized for a foul on Kevin Diks. The rebound was not taken, and Bayern went on to seal the win.

Lennart Karl continued his impressive form, scoring in consecutive games with a stunning long-range shot that curled past Nicolas. The youngster's goal sealed a comfortable win for Bayern, who remain unbeaten in all 13 of their competitive matches this season.

The victory extended Bayern's lead at the top of the table to five points, while Gladbach's loss leaves them four points adrift from safety.
