Bojana Popovic is now free to focus on her new role as assistant coach for the Danish national team, having mutually agreed to part ways with Montenegrin club ŽRK Budućnost. Popovic had been working with the club for five years, serving as a player, assistant coach, sports director and head coach, and made significant contributions to the team's success.


During her tenure, Popovic helped Budućnost maintain its spot in the EHF Champions League and develop numerous talented players who became key members of the Montenegrin national team. Her achievements include winning a bronze medal at the 2022 European Championship as the coach of Montenegro.

ŽRK Budućnost has appointed Zoran Abramović as their new head coach, replacing Bojana Popović, who has parted ways with the club. Abramović, an experienced coach with over 30 years of experience in professional handball, will make his debut this Saturday when OTP Group Budućnost hosts European champion Győr in the 3rd round of the EHF Champions League.
