Andreeva's impressive form extends to the doubles, where she has also reached the third round alongside Diana Shnaider without dropping a set. The Russian's powerful clean hitting overwhelmed Baptiste, who despite her impressive run at Roland Garros, couldn't keep pace with Andreeva's dominant performance.
“I was so focused today,” said Mirra Andreeva, who is coached by former champion Conchita Martinez, reflecting on her dominant win.
“I watched her first round and I knew it would be tough because she creates a lot of different stuff on the court and has a rocket of a forehand.

“With every match I play I feel my level is rising.”
The first set was a one-sided affair, with Andreeva securing three service breaks to wrap it up in just 31 minutes. Baptiste found her rhythm in the second set, showcasing impressive shots, particularly on her forehand, which often forced Andreeva to stretch for returns.
Baptiste had five break points at 4-2 but failed to capitalize, allowing Andreeva to hold serve with a loud yell after a tense moment. The Russian ultimately sealed the win two games later. As the highest seed remaining in the bottom half, Andreeva will next face either defending champion Barbora Krejcikova or 10th seed Emma Navarro.
