Serie A: Como Edges Parma in Late Winner
Como secures a win over Parma thanks to Gabriel Strefezza's late goal, despite both teams having numerous chances throughout the match.
Parma's Serie A safety celebrations will have to wait after a loss to Como. Gabriel Strefezza's goal and some poor finishing from Parma secured the victory for Como.
Despite already being safe, Parma needed a win to mathematically confirm their Serie A status. However, they were hit by several injury absences, including Pontus Almqvist, Alessandro Vogliacco, and Adrian Bernabé, while Como also had key players missing.
Como started the match on the front foot, with Patrick Cutrone's effort easily claimed by Zion Suzuki. Jonathan Ikone's impressive acrobatic attempt from Maxence Caqueret's cross sailed over the bar.

Suzuki showcased his agility with a remarkable one-handed save, denying Marc Kempf's header from a corner kick.
Parma then squandered a prime scoring opportunity when Ange-Yoan Bonny cleverly worked the ball to the by-line and whipped it back across goal, only for Mateo Pellegrino to blast the ball over from just six yards out.
Parma came out aggressively in the second half, with Maxi Perrone making a crucial block to prevent a tap-in from Antoine Hainaut's pull-back. On the ensuing corner, Mateo Pellegrino's header hit the crossbar after bouncing off the ground.
Emanuele Valeri couldn't get a clean connection on a sliding attempt from Hainaut's cross at the back post. Nico Paz's long-range shot forced Zion Suzuki to make a fingertip save over the bar.
Como had a golden opportunity to take the lead on 72 minutes when Jonathan Ikone beat the offside trap and beat Suzuki with a clever move, but astonishingly hit the ball into the side netting. Parma also wasted a great chance when Emanuele Valeri opted to return the pass to Jacob Ondrejka instead of shooting, causing the attack to break down.
Como broke the deadlock when Douvikas beat the offside trap and his poor first touch inadvertently set up Gabriel Strefezza, who scored from close range.
Parma had opportunities to equalize in stoppage time. Dennis Man forced a good save from Jean Butez with a shot from the edge of the box, then had a tap-in from six yards out but inexplicably headed the ball over the bar. Man continued to threaten, forcing another Butez save and seeing the rebound deflected over by Simone Delprato.
