Despite a disappointing season that saw them drop to 13th place, prompting the dismissal of coach Bo Svensson, Union Berlin can take pride in Ronnow's exceptional penalty-saving skills, which have made him one of the best in the league in this regard.
Frederik Ronnow has saved four out of five penalties this season, earning him a spot in the top 12 penalty-saving goalkeepers in Bundesliga history. He currently ranks fifth on the list.
The top spot is held by Thomas Zander of 1860 München, who saved six out of six penalties in the 1979/80 season. Ulrich Sude (Borussia Mönchengladbach) and Bernd Leno (then at Bayer Leverkusen) follow closely, with five out of six and five out of eight penalty saves in their respective seasons.
