PSG Ends Ligue 1 Season on High Note with 3-1 Win Over Auxerre
PSG ended their Ligue 1 title-winning season with a 3-1 victory over Auxerre, thanks to Khvicha Kvaratskhelia's brace and a dominant performance.
Paris Saint-Germain bounced back from a goal down to defeat AJ Auxerre 3-1 at the Parc des Princes, ending their Ligue 1 title-winning season on a high note. This victory marked their third consecutive win across all competitions.
Having secured a record-extending 13th top-flight title six weeks ago with a 1-0 win over Angers, PSG now sets its sights on potential further success. Coach Luis Enrique will hope to lead the team to an historic treble, with upcoming finals in the Coupe de France and UEFA Champions League.

Luis Enrique fielded a strong lineup, and PSG's stars were eager to assert their dominance early on. The team created early chances, with Marquinhos heading over from Nuno Mendes' corner and Ousmane Dembele being denied by Donovan Leon.
However, Auxerre caught PSG off guard and took the lead in the 31st minute through Lassine Sinayoko. Before that, Clement Akpa had a close call when he collided with Dembele in the box, but VAR review confirmed no penalty was awarded.

The goal came as a shock to PSG, with Lassine Sinayoko outmaneuvering Willian Pacho to score after a through ball from Gaetan Perrin. Coach Luis Enrique looked frustrated as Sinayoko's shot sailed past Gianluigi Donnarumma. Nuno Mendes had a chance to equalize with a free-kick that hit the post, but PSG trailed at halftime.
After the break, PSG dominated possession, with Ousmane Dembélé leading the charge forward. The champions poured forward in search of an equalizer.
Donovan Leon made another crucial save to deny Ousmane Dembélé, and the forward later blasted a separate attempt over the bar after being set up by Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. However, Kvaratskhelia would make the difference, scoring with a right-footed strike from the edge of the box just shy of the hour mark to level the game.
Marquinhos sealed the win eight minutes later, heading home Nuno Mendes' corner at the far post, with the ball clipping in off the woodwork to give PSG a 2-1 lead.

Nuno Mendes was fouled in the box by Sinaly Diomande, and PSG was awarded a penalty. However, Goncalo Ramos' spot-kick was saved by Donovan Leon, keeping Auxerre within one goal.
The win was sealed when Khvicha Kvaratskhelia scored with a cool finish at close range, following a brilliant run and pass from Senny Mayulu, making the final score 3-1 in favor of PSG.
The win cemented PSG's dominance, finishing 19 points clear of Marseille at the top of the table. For Auxerre, the season ended on a high note with a respectable 11th-place finish, a commendable achievement after winning promotion from Ligue 2 last season.
