Gujarat got off to a strong start in their chase of 156, thanks to a 72-run partnership between Shubman Gill and Jos Buttler. However, Gill's dismissal to Jasprit Bumrah's inspired bowling after a rain break posed a challenge. Despite this, Gujarat managed to stay on track and ultimately emerged victorious.

Bad weather interrupted the match twice, with the target revised to 147 from 19 overs after the second delay. Gujarat needed 15 runs from the final six balls, and Rahul Tewatia sparked a late surge with a four off Deepak Chahar. Gerald Coetzee then smashed a six, but was dismissed on the fifth ball, leaving Gujarat one run short of victory with one ball remaining.

Arshad Khan sealed the win for Gujarat with a single off the final ball, hitting the ball to Hardik Pandya at mid-off, who missed the stumping chance. This thrilling win propelled Gujarat to the top of the table, while Mumbai's six-match winning streak came to an end, pushing them to fourth place. The top four teams will advance to the playoffs, with the final scheduled for May 25th in Kolkata.

Gujarat Titans were in control at 113-2 after the first rain break, but Jasprit Bumrah's inspired bowling changed the game. He dismissed Shubman Gill for 43 off 46 balls and trapped Sherfane Rutherford lbw for 28. Bumrah continued his impressive spell by dismissing Shahrukh Khan. Rashid Khan's quick exit left Gujarat at 126-6, putting them behind the DLS par score.

Despite the setback, Rahul Tewatia and Gerald Coetzee steadied the ship when rain interrupted play again. After a lengthy wait, the duo guided Gujarat to a nail-biting victory, showcasing their determination and skill under pressure. Bumrah finished with figures of 2-19, but his efforts weren't enough to secure a win for Mumbai.

Mumbai Indians were restricted to 155-8 in their innings, despite Will Jacks' half-century of 53. Corbin Bosch contributed a late cameo of 27. Mohammed Siraj got Mumbai off to a shaky start, dismissing opener Ryan Rickelton for 2. However, Gujarat's fielding effort was marred by dropped catches, including two crucial drops off Jacks, who took advantage of the reprieves to launch a counter-attack after Rohit Sharma's dismissal.

England batter Will Jacks and Suryakumar Yadav formed a crucial partnership of 71 runs for the third wicket. However, Sai Kishore's left-arm spin broke the stand, dismissing Suryakumar for 35 off 24 balls. Rashid Khan later sent back Jacks after his half-century. Mumbai suffered a collapse, losing key wickets in quick succession, including Hardik Pandya, Tilak Varma, and Naman Dhir, to slip to 123-7.

South Africa's Corbin Bosch steadied the innings with a 27-run partnership with Deepak Chahar for the eighth wicket. Unfortunately, Bosch was hit on the helmet and got out in the final over, later being replaced by a concussion substitute.
