Lucknow Super Giants were restricted to 161, unable to withstand Mumbai's strong bowling attack.

Mumbai's Bowling Effort Pays Off
Mumbai's bowlers delivered a strong performance, with England's Will Jacks picking up two wickets in one over. Lucknow was bowled out for 161, propelling Mumbai to second place in the 10-team T20 table.

The victory marked Mumbai's 150th win in the Indian Premier League, a milestone achieved by no other team in the league's history.

Jasprit Bumrah surpassed Lasith Malinga's record of 170 IPL wickets, becoming Mumbai's leading wicket-taker with 174 wickets after dismissing Aiden Markram. Bumrah had recently recovered from a back injury that kept him out of India's Champions Trophy campaign.

Lucknow's innings began positively, with Mitchell Marsh and Nicholas Pooran hitting boundaries in a 42-run partnership. However, Will Jacks broke the partnership by dismissing Pooran for 27 with his off-spin, and soon after, Jacks had Lucknow's captain Rishabh Pant caught out for 4 attempting a reverse sweep. Pant has struggled with the bat, scoring just 110 runs in nine innings despite being bought at a record $3.21 million.

Trent Boult troubled the Australian Marsh for 34 and later dismissed Ayush Badoni for 35, derailing Lucknow's chase. Boult's impressive spell ended with figures of 3-20.

Jasprit Bumrah sealed the win, taking three wickets in one over, including impact player David Miller for 24. His spell helped restrict Lucknow and secure Mumbai's victory.

Left-handed Ryan Rickleton set the tone with a flurry of boundaries after losing opener Rohit Sharma, who fell to Mayank Yadav's slower ball for 12. Rickleton countered the spin threat, forming a 55-run partnership with Will Jacks, who scored 29 before being bowled by Prince Yadav.

Suryakumar Yadav kept the momentum going with aggressive hitting, including a remarkable kneel-down hook for six over fine-leg. Despite regular breakthroughs from the Lucknow bowlers, Mumbai maintained a strong run rate. Mayank Yadav also dismissed captain Hardik Pandya for 5.

India's T20 captain Suryakumar Yadav reached his fifty with a six but was dismissed on the next ball by Avesh Khan.

Naman Dhir (25* off 11 balls) and Corbin Bosch (20 off 10 balls) added a quick 28-run stand, with Bosch impressing on his IPL debut.
