Ten Hag Reveals Plan to Wait Until July for Next Managerial Role

Erik ten Hag has confirmed he won't return to management until next season, ruling out any immediate comeback.

Former Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has been reflecting on his time at the club and has confirmed that he will not return to management this season. Ten Hag, 55, was replaced by Ruben Amorim earlier in the season after a poor start to the campaign, despite having signed a one-year contract extension following the team's FA Cup triumph over Manchester City.

In an interview on the Seg Stories Podcast, Ten Hag spoke candidly about his time at Manchester United, acknowledging that his side was not good enough. He expressed his fondness for Old Trafford, saying, “If there’s one thing I miss, it’s Old Trafford.” Ten Hag also emphasized his commitment to continuous improvement, stating, “We’ve had many highs, but as I always say: there is always room for improvement. Good is not enough. You can do better.”

Regarding his managerial future, Ten Hag has been linked to several roles in recent weeks, sparking speculation about his next move. However, he has now revealed that he will not take on any new role until the start of the new season. “I’ve already decided not to take any job until the 1st of July, so until the start of the new season,” Ten Hag confirmed, indicating that he will reassess his options in July.
