Paris St Germain manager Luis Enrique is wary of a tricky test against Brest in the Champions League, despite holding a 3-0 lead from the first leg.
Paris St Germain manager Luis Enrique has warned that Brest will be a challenging opponent in the Champions League second-leg play-off clash at Parc des Princes on Wednesday. Despite holding a 3-0 lead from the first leg, Enrique is cautious about the collective strength of the Brest team.

PSG's dominant performance in the first leg, which saw Vitinha score a penalty and Ousmane Dembele net a brace, has given the Parisian side a comfortable advantage. However, Enrique is not taking anything for granted, especially as PSG chase their first Champions League title. “Without a doubt, it is a tricky match despite the very good result. Our job is to think of this match as an obligation to win from the outset,” Enrique emphasized.
Enrique highlighted the importance of a strong team effort and a supportive atmosphere at Parc des Princes. “I think the atmosphere will be one of total support. We just need to think about attacking and defending in a total way,” he noted. Enrique also acknowledged Brest's team strength and individual players like Pierre Lees-Melou and Ludovic Ajorque, who can pose a threat. “Brest's strength is their team and not necessarily their individuals... It's very difficult to play against Brest and you have to be prepared.”

Enrique stressed that PSG's goal is to prevent Brest from staging a comeback. “Can Brest turn things around? Our aim is not to let that happen,” he said, emphasizing the need for his team to stay focused and avoid complacency.
Luis Enrique expressed his satisfaction with PSG's new January signing, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. The 24-year-old Georgian winger made a high-profile move from Napoli to PSG for a reported fee of 70 million euros. Enrique acknowledged that Kvaratskhelia needs time to settle in, but is pleased with the youngster's attitude and work ethic. “I'm happy with him. It's obvious that he needs time to adapt, there's no magic formula. I'm very happy with the way he's behaving and training. He's a recruit for the long term. I'm in no hurry,” Enrique said.

Midfielder Fabian Ruiz also sounded a note of caution ahead of the Champions League clash against Brest. Despite PSG's commanding 3-0 lead from the first leg, Ruiz emphasized the importance of staying focused and avoiding complacency. “We know that all matches are difficult, especially in the Champions League. All the teams give their all, but Brest are going to give everything,” Ruiz noted. He also highlighted the need for PSG to start strong and maintain their intensity throughout the match. “We've analysed the situation. We'll have to play from the first minute with the desire to win the match. Brest have often made it difficult for us. We're a goal up but it's not over yet.”
