According to President Bola Tinubu, his administration is implementing “detailed strategies” to guarantee that the nation's schools are safe places for education.



The president's spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale, stated in a statement on Sunday that Tinubu was pleased to learn that the kids kidnapped from Government Secondary School Kuriga, Kaduna, and Tsangaya in Sokoto had been freed.


The president expressed gratitude to the security agencies, national security advisor Nuhu Ribadu, and Kaduna governor Uba Sani for the safe return of the kidnapped Kuriga students.


Sani declared the release of the kidnapped Kuriga pupils in the early hours of Sunday.


A teacher at Government Secondary School Kuriga named Sani Abdullahi reported that following the attack on the schools, 287 kids were missing.


15 pupils who were kidnapped from a Tsangaya school in Gidan Baya, Gada LGA, Sokoto, were freed on Friday.


The students were abducted On March 9, when bandits raided their town.
