MohBad's Death: Naira Marley And Sam Larry Frustrated My Son To Death — Mohbad's Mother

The mother of the late artist claims Sam Larry and Naira Marley frustrated him to death

The late musician Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad,'s mother, Abosede, said that her son was frustrated to death by Azeez Fashola, also known as Naira Marley, and Samson Balogun, also known as Sam Larry.

Naira Marley was MohBad's record label boss until he fell out and MohBad decided to leave the label.

She claimed the late musician never knew calm since he was constantly involved in some sort of trouble with Naira Marley and Sam Larry.

“Mohbad did not know peace throughout his lifetime. He was always going from one problem to another in the hands of Naira Marley and Sam Larry. His manager was Naira Marley's brother, and I did not like him.

“Every time I went there, I always told Mohbad to stay away from him, yet he was always sleeping on Mohbad's bed. I told Mohbad to keep away from everyone associated with Naira Marley and should not work with them anymore. I had always been involved in my son's life. Every curse that Naira Marley rains on me will return to him,” she said.

She continued by telling how Mohbad had told her that he wanted to switch managers and had mentioned to her that he had spoken to Naira Marley in the middle of the night about taking anything, “At that moment, Mohbad was scared, and he ran to the bathroom, from where he called me. I then called my pastor, who asked us to pray.

“Sam Larry beat Mohbad, complaining that he owed him money, but that is not true. My son confided in me. Naira Marley beat him up one time, and he ended up in the hospital. We had to use hot water to massage his body, and he could not talk for two days because he was seriously beaten. He even developed hypertension.

“When Mohbad recovered from the sickness, Naira did not want him back in Marlian Music. He said he was spoiling their name; and Mohbad also did not want to go back. I went with the father to plead with Naira. That was the first time I went to the house. It was Joseph that was always going there. I want justice for my son.”

Naira Marley and Sam Larry, meanwhile, have both denied any role in Mohbad's demise.

In a statement posted to his Instagram account on September 26, 2023, Naira Marley declared that he was prepared to help the authorities investigate the circumstances surrounding the passing of his former signee.

“Permit me to categorically state that I have no hand in the death of Ilerioluwa, either directly or indirectly,” Marley said.

“It is not unusual in the industry, just like in several other industries, to have family friction, even amongst blood relatives.”

“In light of the police invitation, I am making arrangements to return to the country to assist the investigation and give my version of the events,” Marley said, adding that “I am fully cooperating with the Police team, and I certainly have no reason to be a fugitive when I have no hand in his death.”

On the other hand, the late singer's mother requested that the police examine her, Sam Larry, Prime Boy, Naira Marley, Mohbad's father, and his wife in order to identify the responsible person.

Mohbad's remains were dug up for an autopsy after the Lagos State Police Command conducted an investigation to determine the reason of his death.

Although the autopsy results are still pending, Naira Marley claimed that ever after Mohbad's passing, he has been the subject of numerous rumors.
