FG Introduces The NIMC Self-Service Enrolment App To Make Registration Simpler

The National Identity Number, or NIN, is now available to Nigerians thanks to the Federal Government's activation of the National Identity Management Commission's (NIMC) Self-Service Enrolment System.

The system—powered by Banksforte Limited—was unveiled by the acting NIMC CEO and Director General, Engr. Abisoye Coker-Odusote, and Interior Minister Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, at the National Identity Day event on Saturday.

Barnksforte Limited's managing director, Dayo Bankole, highlighted how the NIN App will assist eliminate delays in updating names, ages, marital statuses, and other NIN-related information in an interview.

He mentioned that Nigerians living in rural areas may use the app wherever.

He asserts that the system will fundamentally alter NIN enrollment.

"The problem this is going to be solving is allowing people to take care of changing their addresses, their date of birth, their names, in case they get married that name change at the comfort of their home rather than travelling spending a lot of money being at the National Identity Management Commission's office spending more expenses to be able to change names.
