PASTOR OF MFM CHURCH IS BEING LOOKED INTO FOR RUNNING A "DELIVERANCE" CENTER IN OKIJA
The Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministry (MFM) has denounced the actions of one of its pastors in Okija, Anambra State, who is accused of using his private residence as a place of detention and hostage-taking while posing as a deliverance ministry.
According to a statement released on Wednesday by MFM's Director of Administration, Akin Olawale, the church leadership has ordered the aforementioned pastor to close the unlawful institution and return to the main office for further action.
Olawale continued, saying they are currently in contact with law enforcement authorities and the families of those in question to make sure the problems are appropriately addressed and justice is administered as appropriate.
He spoke. "On Tuesday, August 23, 2022, the MFM's leadership learned that a location in Okija, in the Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State, was reportedly being utilized to imprison, chain, and hold hostages against their will while conducting deliverance.
"We received the information with a harsh shock because it entirely contradicts what we do globally. Despite the fact that the accused pastor is one of our pastors, the facility in question is his own private property, and his activities in carrying out this form of deliverance are neither authorized nor known to the church leadership.
The pastor asserts that the applicants who were brought to him for prayer against drug addiction and mental illness typically had their guardians sign an undertaking on their behalf in his answer to our preliminary research.
