16 MONTHS AFTER BEING CROWNED, GOMBE EMIR PASSES AWAY FROM A HEART ATTACK
Following the passing of its Emir, Alhaji Mu'azu Muhammad Kwairanga III, the Funakaye Local Government Area (LGA) of Gombe state was plunged into a terrible state on Sunday morning.
The emir of Funakaye, Gombe, Alhaji Mu'azu Muhammad Kwairanga III, has passed away.
He had a heart attack on Sunday morning, August 28, and passed away. He had 45 years on him.
In May 2021, after the death of his elder brother, who also passed away on the throne, he was appointed the Emir of Funakaye by Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya.
Funakaye resident Abubakar Barde told the media that the man passed away on Sunday around 12 a.m. from a heart attack. Mu'azu Kwairanga treated the Funakaye people with kindness and was like a father to everyone.
We have lost a truly outstanding leader. By 2 p.m. today, his funeral will be held in Bajoga, Funakaye LGA, Gombe.
