MILE 12 BOILS, AND THE HEAD OF LAGOS PARK IS KILLED IN A CULTIST BRAWL
Following the murder of Sulaimon Onaolapo, also known as ARIKU, a member of the parks and garages, mayhem broke out in Lagos' Mile 12 neighborhood on Sunday.
He apparently was shot by gunmen on Sunday, and his body was later discovered on the highway. The incident paralyzed commercial activity, causing chaos in the neighborhood.
After Ariku was killed, opposing cult groups engaged in a struggle for domination, which was intermittently accompanied by gunshots.
To avoid being caught up in the chaos that followed, traders hastily closed their stores and departed.
According to reports, the argument started when a cult member named ARIKU was struck by a rival cult member, which then resulted in total mayhem.
Before the state government disbanded the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) and gave control of the operations of commercial vehicle operators to a 25-man committee, the dead was reportedly the chairman of the Motor Park under the Mile 12 bridge.
As word of the altercation spread on social media, individuals cautioned Lagosians to avoid the Mile 12 axis for the time being because there was mayhem there.
