Liverpool wrapped up their U.S. pre-season with a letdown, falling 4-2 to Leeds United at Chicago’s Soldier Field.
The Reds were in command at halftime. Luke Chambers struck in the 7th minute, and Florian Wirtz made it 2-0 five minutes before the break.

Leeds had other ideas in the second half and staged a stunning comeback. Brenden Aaronson got them on the board in the 60th minute, and Dominic Calvert-Lewin followed shortly after to draw level.
Sean Longstaff put Leeds ahead with a deflected strike, then Calvert-Lewin sealed it with a thumping header five minutes from full-time for his second of the night.
Liverpool made a raft of second-half changes, with Ryan Gravenberch coming on for his first appearance of pre-season.
The Reds had chances but couldn’t find a way back in, as Leeds held on for a statement win.
