On Saturday, the Kansas City Royals dealt outfielder Lane Thomas and left-hander Bailey Falter to the Atlanta Braves.
In return, Kansas City will get Braves prospects Lucas Braun, their No.8 ranked left-hander, and fellow LHP Carter Holton.
The 30-year-old Thomas is hitting .232/.326/.393 on the season with 10 homers, 37 RBI and 7 stolen bases in 97 games.
Falter, 29, has struggled in the majors this year, allowing 15 runs on 24 hits with 6 strikeouts over 9.2 innings for a 13.97 ERA.
Both Thomas and Falter are slated to hit free agency at the end of the 2026 season.

Braun, 24, has posted a 3.53 ERA this year in the minors between Double-A and Triple-A. Across 19 appearances, 17 of them starts, he’s logged 94.1 innings with 93 hits, 27 walks and 82 strikeouts.
Holton, 23, owns a 4.32 ERA this season. In 41.2 innings he’s allowed 41 hits and 16 walks while striking out 41.
