Sirius beat Halmstad 2-0 to go 14 points clear at top...
Djurgarden powered into the Allsvenskan European spots with a dominant home victory against Vasteras.
There was no upset at the other end of the table either, as league leaders Sirius comfortably beat bottom side Halmstad to extend their advantage.
Djurgarden thrash Vasteras 6-0 on anniversary day
Djurgarden marked their 135th anniversary in style with a 6-0 demolition of Vasteras. The result extended Djurgarden’s unbeaten run to five matches and stopped Gronvitt from reaching the same milestone.
The hosts struck early. In the 5th minute Kristian Lien cut the ball back to Patric Aslund, who blasted it into the roof of the net. Lien then got on the scoresheet himself in the 13th minute, pouncing on the rebound after Oskar Fallenius hit the post.
Adam Stahl made it 3-0 in the 28th minute, powering home a Max Larsson corner with a header the keeper couldn’t stop. Djurgarden then added three more goals in a seven-minute burst after the break..
A long ball over the top sent Bo Hegland in behind and he cut it back for Lien to tap in his second. The striker then completed his hat-trick in the 55th minute after Aslund pressed high to win possession, with Lien smashing it into the top corner. Miro Tenho made it 6-0 on the hour, nodding in a Hegland cross from a corner routine.
Vasteras were relieved the scoring stopped there, but the heavy defeat pushed their goal difference down and dropped them to seventh. Before kickoff they were in position to leapfrog Hacken and go third with a win, but instead that spot went to Blaranderna.
Sirius go 14 points clear with win at Halmstad
Sirius hit the halfway point of the season still unbeaten. After Hammarby were held by Brommapojkarna, Sirius stretched their lead to 14 points at the top with victory over Halmstad. Halmstad remain bottom and are now nine points adrift of guaranteed safety.
Sirius struck twice inside the opening 16 minutes. The opener came from a short corner to Marcus Lindberg. His delivery was flicked on by a defender but fell to Tobias Anker at the back post, and he headed home.
It got worse for Halmstad almost immediately. Ludvig Arvidsson brought down Robbie Ure in the box just seconds later, and Isak Bjerkebo calmly sent the keeper the wrong way from the spot to make it 2-0.

To their credit, Halmstad did create chances and pushed to get back into it, but they couldn’t find a breakthrough. They also managed to keep the scoreline down at the other end, despite Ure and Bjerkebo both threatening before and after half-time.
The result puts Sirius on 41 points from 15 games - that’s already two points more than they had across 30 matches last season. For Halmstad, it’s back to defeat after their draw with GAIS, and they’re now without a win in six.
