Thousands of Arsenal supporters gathered in North London on Tuesday after the club won its first Premier League title in 22 years. The victory sparked wild celebrations outside the Emirates Stadium that went on late into the night.
Arsenal had controlled the league for nearly the entire season and were confirmed as champions without playing. The title was secured after second-placed Manchester City drew 1-1 with Bournemouth.
The Arsenal squad had assembled at the club’s training ground about an hour north of London to watch the match. Video shared on social media showed the players jumping and embracing once the club’s 14th English league title was confirmed.
In London, supporters left pubs and homes and made their way to the Emirates Stadium. Outside the ground they set off fireworks and flares while chanting “Champions! Champions! Ole! Ole! Ole!”
“Words can't describe it, we've been waiting 22 years for this. It's unbelievable,” an Arsenal fan said.
“Bournemouth did us a massive favour today, they played so well. And we're deserved champions, so happy days.”

Arsenal legend Ian Wright joined the celebrations outside the stadium and was quickly surrounded by fans singing his name.
“I was absolutely over the moon,” Wright, who scored 185 goals for the club in the 1990s, told Premier League Productions.
“I got in the cab, got my Mrs and my girls in the cab and I said, 'We're going down there, let's go down to the Emirates.'”
“It's amazing, honestly, and this club deserves it. Our fans deserve it all, around the world and everybody, we deserve this, man.”
Arsenal will end their Premier League season away to Crystal Palace on Sunday. They then travel to Budapest to face Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final on May 30.
