Two-time Wimbledon champion Andy Murray will join Jack Draper’s team for the grass court season, Draper announced Tuesday. The move comes after Draper split with coach Jamie Delgado and withdrew from the French Open due to injury.

Two-time Wimbledon winner Andy Murray will link up with compatriot Jack Draper’s team for the grass swing, Draper confirmed on Tuesday. The announcement came as Draper split with Jamie Delgado, Murray’s former coach, after six months together.

Murray hung up his racket in 2024. His most recent coaching role was with Novak Djokovic, a partnership that ended in May 2025.

Draper, a former US Open semifinalist, has been hampered by injuries this year and will sit out the French Open due to a lingering knee problem.

“I am very grateful for everything Jamie Delgado has done for me over these past six months. He is a world-class coach and a great man,” Draper said in a statement to British media.

“In the interim, I ‌will continue to be supported by the excellent team at the (Lawn Tennis Association), with the addition of Andy Murray, who will be supporting me throughout the grasscourt season,” he added.

Draper, 24, has never made it past the second round at Wimbledon, and just one of his three ATP titles has come on grass.

He didn’t say exactly what role Murray would have, but several reports suggest Murray will join the coaching setup.
