A large contingent of Danish players is set to exit Wolfsburg after the club’s painful relegation to Germany’s 2. Bundesliga.
Wolfsburg dropped down following their play-off loss to Paderborn, and several Danes will now depart. Adam Daghim and Jesper Lindström will head back to their parent clubs FC Red Bull Salzburg and Napoli once their loan deals expire.

Jonas Wind and Kevin Paredes are also leaving the Wolves after four and a half years each. Wind played 124 competitive games for VfL and netted 35 goals, while Paredes made 65 appearances for the Green-and-Whites and scored four times.
It’s unlikely that Denmark international Christian Eriksen will stay, with his salary likely too steep for the club. Wolfsburg are bracing for a major financial hit after dropping to the 2. Bundesliga.
