Bernardo Silva said Manchester City still hold onto a slim hope of winning the Premier League, even after lifting the FA Cup. City beat Chelsea 1-0 at Wembley on Saturday to complete a domestic cup double.
Antoine Semenyo provided the only goal in a game that lacked spark, striking in the 72nd minute with a moment of quality to break down Chelsea’s defense.
Erling Haaland worked tirelessly all afternoon and set up the winner. His cross found Semenyo, who finished with a clever flicked effort off his right foot past Robert Sanchez.
Silva, who is leaving City when the season ends, said he was proud to add another trophy to the long list he has won since joining the club in 2017.
"Very special. I am really happy. Everything about my journey here at Man City was fantastic,” the City captain told the BBC.
“Hopefully, we can still have a small dream that we can fight for the Premier League.
“Today we are very happy. It is just special for me, being my last season to give them another trophy. Hopefully, not the last one.”
City claimed the League Cup in March and sit two points behind Premier League leaders Arsenal with two matches left to play.

Arsenal host relegated Burnley on Monday. City travel to Bournemouth a day later.
Silva, 31, credited Pep Guardiola for shaping his career, saying the manager had changed how he viewed the game.
“Eighty per cent of my career was with him as my manager,” he said. “All the things I hoped to achieve were with him.
“The relationship we have got is very strong with the frustrations and the achievements. I care a lot about Man City.”
