Bayern Munich have apparently agreed personal terms with Newcastle United’s Anthony Gordon ahead of a possible summer transfer.

Transfer insider Ben Jacobs says the 25-year-old has told Bayern he’s ready to make the move, with both sides now on the same page regarding contract terms.

Gordon is said to be keen on joining the Bundesliga champions and sees it as a logical step forward in his career. 

The sticking point remains between the clubs, with Newcastle holding out for £80 million, around €92 million.

Bayern are sticking to a cautious spending plan, with sporting directors Max Eberl and Christoph Freund told to target key reinforcements without breaking the bank.

Club president Uli Hoeneß is reportedly on board with pursuing Gordon, but Bayern will likely try to bring Newcastle’s asking price down as negotiations continue.
