A 2-0 El Clasico victory gave Barcelona their 11th straight league win and a first title mathematically secured with a Clasico win in club history.

Barcelona clinched their 29th LaLiga title on Sunday with a 2-0 win over Real Madrid in El Clasico, opening a 14-point gap at the top with three matches left and making the crown uncatchable.
The Catalans overpowered Real Madrid at Camp Nou to wrap up the 2025/26 Spanish championship, adding to a miserable run for their rivals both on and off the pitch.
It marks the first time in club history that Barcelona have sealed the title mathematically by beating Real Madrid in El Clasico.
Hansi Flick’s attacking Barcelona side have racked up 91 points from 35 LaLiga games this season, with 30 wins and a league-best 91 goals scored. They’ve outscored second-placed Real Madrid by 21 goals so far.
Following a stellar first season in 2024/25 that delivered a domestic treble, Flick’s bold, high-pressing tactics have worked again. Barca have now retained the LaLiga title for the first time since 2019.
Key moments in the campaign included league doubles over Atlético Madrid and Espanyol, plus heavy wins against Real Betis, Athletic Club, and Valencia.
Goals shared across the squad
Barcelona’s scoring has been well distributed this season. Lamine Yamal and Ferran Torres both hit 16 goals in LaLiga, while Robert Lewandowski added 13 and Raphinha chipped in with 11 for the Blaugrana.
Manchester United loanee Marcus Rashford has scored eight goals, with Dani Olmo on seven and Fermín López on six, giving Flick plenty of attacking options beyond the main front line.

At the back, Barcelona have conceded just 31 goals, averaging under one per game. Joan Garcia has been outstanding with 15 clean sheets, and 19-year-old Pau Cubarsí has been a near ever-present and composed presence in defence.
Barcelona’s win over Madrid stretched their LaLiga streak to 11 victories in a row.
Only four other managers in the club’s history have managed a run that long: Pep Guardiola, who had runs of 16 and 11, Frank Rijkaard with 14, Luis Enrique with 12, and Tito Vilanova with 11.
That run alone puts Flick alongside elite company. Add last season’s treble and this season’s LaLiga title, and it’s clear the German coach is crafting a legacy that will be remembered in Catalonia and beyond.
