Arsenal finished their Premier League campaign with a victory at Palace. The win sealed 26 league wins and set up a celebration with the travelling support...

Arsenal wrapped up their Premier League title-winning season with a 2-1 win over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park. It was their ninth victory in the last 10 meetings between the sides, with one draw.

An unbeaten season wasn’t on the line this time, but Arsenal came close to scoring inside four minutes. Gabriel Jesus hit the post, and after the rebound fell to Noni Madueke, Dean Henderson got down to make the save.

Jesus already has a hat-trick against Crystal Palace on his record, and he could have added another in the first half alone. He was played through one-on-one but Henderson rushed out to smother the shot. Moments later he headed wide into the side-netting at the far post.

Like Tony Adams and Thierry Henry on previous coronation days, Jesus eventually got the goal his play deserved. Gabriel Martinelli played him through with a trademark Brazilian combination, and Jesus fired it in at the near post beyond Henderson’s reach.

Crystal Palace managed just one shot before half-time, but it was a good chance. Daniel Munoz met a cross with a diving header, and Kepa Arrizabalaga made a superb tip-over save on his only Premier League appearance of the season.

Both sides made several changes at the break, and one of Arsenal’s subs made an immediate impact. Kai Havertz was involved as the Gunners doubled their lead from a corner. Gabriel Martinelli swung it to the far post, Havertz headed it back across goal, and Noni Madueke volleyed home.

Crystal Palace showed some fight after falling behind. Jorgen Strand Larsen had a chance to pull one back but blazed his shot over from inside the box.

Arsenal fans kept cheering, and they got another reason when Mikel Merino came off the bench after months out injured. He replaced Max Dowman, who became the youngest player ever to start a Premier League match.

Another substitute drew attention when Eberechi Eze entered the game. The former Arsenal academy player and ex-Palace star received a mixed reaction from the crowd.

Merino had the best chance to get on the scoresheet but blazed over from close range late on.

Palace pulled one back when two substitutes combined. Yeremy Pino delivered the cross and Jean-Philippe Mateta headed home for his fourth career goal against Arsenal.

Pino then put the ball in the net himself and briefly quieted the away fans. The goal was ruled out after a VAR check showed Evann Guessand interfered from an offside position.

Mikel Arteta’s side made it five Premier League wins in a row and lifted the trophy in front of the travelling fans. The 26th win of the season matched the total set by the Invincibles side.

It was Oliver Glasner’s last home game in charge of Palace, and it ended their five-match unbeaten run at Selhurst Park with two wins and three draws. Both clubs now turn their focus to European finals next week.

Arsenal Win 26th Game to Match Invincibles Tally on Final Day

Arsenal’s Attacking Consistency

Arsenal found the net in 35 of their 38 Premier League matches this season, more than any other club in the league.

Palace’s Winless Run Continues

Crystal Palace are now without a win in seven Premier League games. Their last longer stretch without a victory was a nine-game run between 14th December 2025 and 1st February 2026.

Mateta Leads Palace Scoring

Jean-Phillipe Mateta moved to 12 Premier League goals this season with his strike in this match. That tally puts him clear as Crystal Palace’s top scorer for the campaign.
