Hacken held on for a 3-2 win over Malmo in Gothenburg, moving to fifth and leaving MFF with three defeats in their last four Allsvenskan matches.

Kalmar won 2-0 in Stuart Baxter’s first game back at Halmstad, climbing out of the bottom three while HBK remain winless and bottom of the table...

Djurgarden edged a dramatic Stockholm derby against AIK, taking a 4-2 win in Solna. Elsewhere, Hacken held off Malmo for victory, and Kalmar kept Halmstad winless in the Allsvenskan this season.

Derby day crowd left stunned in Solna

Strawberry Arena held nearly 50,000 fans for one of northern Europe’s fiercest rivalries, but it was the visiting Djurgarden supporters celebrating as their side took all three points.

The visitors opened the scoring after 10 minutes when a searching pass reached Patric Aslund at the byline. His cutback took a deflection into Hampus Findell’s path, and he slotted it into the bottom corner. Djurgarden doubled the lead six minutes later when Bo Hegland’s deep corner was met by Miro Tenho’s towering header at the back post, sneaking past the keeper and defenders despite the tight angle.

Midway through the half, AIK pulled one back as Zadok Yohanna slipped his marker and squared for Kevin Filling to tap in. They thought they’d leveled in the 37th minute when Axel Kouame’s shot hit the post and Filling followed up, but the goal was chalked off for offside despite replays showing he was onside.

AIK pulled one back again around the midway point of the second half when Aron Csongvai’s corner was headed home by Dino Besirovic to make it 3-2.

But Bo Hegland had the final word four minutes from time, racing onto a Kristian Lien through ball and firing low past Kristoffer Nordfeldt to secure Djurgarden’s second straight win and keep them fourth. The result leaves AIK ninth after taking just one point from their last four matches.

Goal fest in Gothenburg as Hacken edge MFF

Five goals flew in during a chaotic first half in Gothenburg, with Hacken taking three of them to claim a 3-2 win over Malmo. It’s a first victory in four for Getingarna, who remain unbeaten, while MFF have now lost three of their last four.

Hacken broke through in under four minutes when Adrian Svanback played Gustav Lindgren through, and he finished with composure. The lead doubled on 20 minutes after Amor Layouni’s cross found Lindgren, but the final touch went in off Malmo’s Jens Stryger Larsen.

The visitors responded quickly, cutting the deficit four minutes later. Otto Rosengren played a low corner to the edge of the area for Busanello, whose first-time strike took a big deflection on its way into the net.

With eight minutes left in the first half, Adam Lundqvist sent in a low cross that Gustav Lindgren couldn’t connect with cleanly, but he still managed to bundle it over the line for his fifth goal of the season. Malmo responded almost immediately, needing just two minutes as Sead Haksabanovic’s free-kick found Erik Botheim at the near post, and his flick carried it into the far corner.

After the break, Lindgren missed a good opportunity to complete his hat-trick, and both Filip Helander and Silas Andersen came close to sealing it for Hacken. Deep into stoppage time, Stefano Vecchia looked set to equalize but struck his shot straight at Andreas Linde.

Hacken sit fifth, level on points with Djurgarden and behind only on goal difference, while Malmo drop to seventh, three points further back.

Baxter’s return spoiled as Kalmar climb clear of trouble

Halmstad parted ways with Johan Lindholm after picking up just two points from six games, and things didn’t improve under returning coach Stuart Baxter, who last managed the club from 1988-91. His second debut ended in defeat to Kalmar, a result that lifts the hosts out of the bottom three.

The breakthrough came shortly after the restart when Charlie Rosenqvist’s cross to the back post was volleyed home by Charles Sagoe Jr. Kalmar doubled the lead eight minutes later as Rony Jansson’s through ball found Marius Soderback, who laid it off for Anthony Olusanya to finish into the bottom corner.

After a sluggish start to the season, Kalmar have now won two of their last three. Halmstad, meanwhile, have lost three in a row and remain rooted to the bottom of the table.
