Spurs’ Alarming Campaign: Knee Injury List Outnumbers Home Victories
Spurs’ injury crisis deepens with Xavi Simons the latest ACL victim. Tottenham have more knee injuries than home wins, with Kulusevski, Maddison and Romero also sidelined.
Tottenham have suffered six major knee injuries in 2025-26, including ACL tears to Simons, Odobert and Dragusin. Spurs have just two home Premier League wins and none in 2026...
Tottenham’s Premier League season has been derailed by a wave of major knee injuries, with the club suffering more of them than home victories.
Tottenham Hotspur are in the middle of one of their toughest seasons in recent memory, marred by a rash of serious knee injuries.
The most recent casualty is Xavi Simons, who tore his anterior cruciate ligament on 25 April during Spurs’ win over Wolves, adding to the club’s on-field problems.
Simons isn’t alone. Wilson Odobert suffered the same injury on 10 February, and Radu Dragusin ruptured his ACL in late December 2025.
James Maddison, injured on 2 May 2025, and Cristian Romero, out since 12 April with a knee issue expected to sideline him until June, round out the list.
Dejan Kulusevski adds to the list, out with a serious knee injury since 11 May 2025. He’s not expected back before May 2026.
The numbers are bleak: Spurs have more major knee injuries than home wins in the league this season. They’ve won only twice at home - 3-0 vs Burnley on 16 August 2025, and 2-0 vs Brentford on 6 December. Tottenham are still searching for their first home league win of 2026.
It’s not just knees. Tottenham’s injury list runs deep. Pape Matar Sarr has a shoulder issue, Ben Davies is out with an ankle injury, Mohammed Kudus has a thigh problem, Destiny Udogie is sidelined by a muscle injury, and Guglielmo Vicario is recovering from hernia surgery.
