Leicester’s fall continues, relegated to League One after draw with Hull. Fans clashed with Harry Winks after Portsmouth defeat...
Leicester have dropped from the Championship to League One after a 2-2 draw with play-off hopefuls Hull City.
The Foxes had to win Tuesday’s game at the King Power Stadium to keep survival hopes alive. They led 2-1 but couldn’t hold on.
They began the season with just one defeat in 10 under ex-QPR boss Marti Cifuentes, but form collapsed after the new year.
Concerns grew in February when a six-point deduction for breaching EFL spending rules dropped them to one place above the relegation zone.
Cifuentes was quickly sacked and Gary Rowett came in, but results didn’t improve. The club managed only one league win under him.
A recent loss to relegation rivals Portsmouth pushed them to the brink. Frustrated fans clashed with midfielder Harry Winks outside Fratton Park after the game.

Decade of Extremes
Relegation caps a turbulent 10 years since they shocked the Premier League and world football.
That 5000/1 title win sent them into the Champions League, where they reached the quarter-finals and finished 12th in the league the next season.
They lifted the FA Cup for the first time in 2021.
Two seasons later they went down anyway, despite a squad that included Jamie Vardy, James Maddison and Youri Tielemans.
They bounced straight back by winning the Championship under Enzo Maresca, but a tough Premier League campaign followed.
Maresca left for Chelsea before last season started. Neither Steve Cooper nor Ruud van Nistelrooy could stop an immediate return to the Championship.
