A few minutes later, Elyounoussi missed a big chance before Andreas Cornelius hit the post. But after 31 minutes, the home side brought the crowd to its feet when Elias Achouri drove into the box and delivered a pinpoint cross for Elyounoussi, who slotted the ball through the legs of Vejle keeper Tobias Jakobsen.

Despite already being relegated, Vejle held their own throughout the match. But after 73 minutes, the game was effectively settled when Jordan Larsson beat his man and squared for the onrushing Viktor Dadason to double the lead.

FC Copenhagen added the icing on the cake six minutes from time when Larsson converted a penalty after Max Jensen was adjudged to have handled in the box.
