As they search for a new technical director, Dutch giants Feyenoord have reportedly targeted a reunion with former player and manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst.
According to Lewis Steele of the Daily Mail, Feyenoord have yet to make an official approach to Liverpool for Van Bronckhorst, but the former left-back is open to offers from the club he made 249 appearances for and won five trophies with as manager, including a first Eredivisie title in 18 years in 2017.
Feyenoord are looking for a new technical director after Dennis te Kloese announced his imminent exit from the Rotterdam club. CEO Te Kloese took on the technical director role after Frank Arnesen left in 2022.
The 106-cap Netherlands international joined Liverpool as Arne Slot’s assistant in 2025, replacing John Heitinga on the backroom staff after signing a two-year deal with the Merseyside club.
Before his Liverpool role, Van Bronckhorst managed Besiktas, Rangers, Guangzhou R&F and Feyenoord, winning seven trophies in total and reaching the UEFA Europa League final with Rangers in 2022.
