Stuttgart cruising to a big win! They beat Hamburg 4-0 at home, extending their unbeaten run to 7 games (5 wins, 2 draws).
Stuttgart dominated early on. Deniz Undav had an early chance, firing from the edge of the box.
Hamburg struggled to trouble the Stuttgart defense, and Fabio Balde was also off target from a similar position in a rare opportunity for the visitors.
However, it was not long after that Stuttgart eventually took the lead. Jamie Leweling made an instant impact on his return to the starting line-up when he found Angelo Stiller in the area, and the latter shot first-time into the bottom corner with precision.
The Reds had a great track record when scoring first at home this season - seven wins from eight games. With Stuttgart scoring early, they were looking confident of getting the win.
Hamburg pushed for an equalizer, and had a decent chance through Ransford-Yeboah Konigsdorffer. His shot was dangerous, but Alexander Nubel made a good save to tip it away
Unfortunately for Hamburg, Stuttgart piled on more pressure. Ermedin Demirovic set it up nicely for Chris Fuhrich, who finished with another neat shot into the bottom corner.
Demirovic had a great chance to put Stuttgart ahead further before halftime. He had a mazy solo run, but the ball flew past the wrong side of the post.
Hamburg might've had some frustration brewing in the dressing room at the break, but Stuttgart still looked more likely to score again.
Stuttgart let Hamburg off the hook for a bit, with Rayan Philippe having a header narrowly go over.
But they got their third before the hour. Fuhrich played it well to Mittelstadt on the edge, and Mittelstadt finished into the bottom corner again.
Mittelstadt was then denied a quickfire brace with a dangerous free-kick that had to be saved by Fernandes, before Demirovic thought he added gloss to the scoreline with a fine finish that was disallowed for offside.
Undav had an even better chance to stretch his side’s lead further from the penalty spot, but he uncharacteristically blazed over.
Ein nahezu perfekter Abend in der MHP Arena endet mit einem 4:0 gegen den HSV.

Bilal El Khannouss didn't miss his chance. He curled it in from just outside the area, with a deflection off a defender, after Tiago Tomas found him space.
Stuttgart were just too strong at home. They've won 6 of the last 7 head-to-heads at MHP Arena, and Hamburg didn't stand a chance.
