Vinicius and Mbappe missed clear chances, with Upamecano's mistake almost paying off for the hosts. Madrid's pressure was building, but the visitors held firm.


Madrid's pressure paid off with 15 minutes left, as Mbappe scored from Trent Alexander-Arnold's low cross. Neuer couldn't keep it out.


Los Blancos had chances to equalize, but Bayern held on. Their goals either side of halftime put them in control of the tie, making them early favorites for a seventh UCL title.
