Team USA is rolling in the World Baseball Classic. They dominated Great Britain 9-1, scoring nine runs on 12 hits. The British bats struggled, going 0-for-25, except for leadoff hitter Nate Eaton, who had a solo home run in the first inning.

The USA's pitching was impressive, with a combined 17 strikeouts and no walks. Kyle Schwarber's two-run home run in the fifth inning sparked a big rally, and Gunnar Henderson had four hits, including a double, and two RBIs. The team's next game is against Mexico on Monday.

Clay Holmes secured the win for the USA, tossing three shutout innings with six strikeouts and allowing just one hit. The team's offense was on fire, with eight of nine batters getting at least one hit. Gunnar Henderson led the charge, going 4-for-5 with a double and two RBIs.

The USA is on a hot streak, scoring 24 runs in their first two games - 15 vs Brazil and 9 vs Great Britain. They're looking strong heading into their next game against Mexico.

Great Britain's Nate Eaton shocked the USA with a solo home run off Tariki Skubal in the first at-bat, making it 1-0. The call was initially a double, but overturned to a home run after review. Eaton finished 3-for-4.

The USA bounced back, scoring nine runs on 12 hits, with Gunnar Henderson leading the charge (4-for-5, 2 RBIs). Clay Holmes got the win, tossing three shutout innings with six strikeouts. The USA's next game is against Mexico.

Tariki Skubal bounced back in the second, retiring the side on just nine pitches. But the highlight of the inning belonged to Great Britain's Trayce Thompson, who made an incredible catch to rob Will Smith of a home run - one of the best catches of the 2026 WBC! Thompson's catch kept the score 1-0, and he finished the game 0-for-1 at the plate.

The USA had a chance to tie it in the second with a runner on third and two outs, but couldn't bring him home. Great Britain's defense held strong, and the score remained 1-0 heading into the later innings.

Najee Victor was on fire in the fourth, striking out Aaron Judge, Bryce Harper, and Gunnar Henderson to keep Great Britain's 1-0 lead intact. He was pulled in the next inning after a throwing error let Ernie Clement reach base. Victor's stats: 1.1 innings, no hits, 4 strikeouts, 1 walk.

The U.S. turned the game around quickly after Najee Victor's departure. A wild pitch by Andre Scrubb tied it 1-1, then Kyle Schwarber launched a two-run homer to put the U.S. up 3-1. The scoring kept going: Gunnar Henderson hit a two-run double, making it 5-1 U.S.

The floodgates opened, with the U.S. scoring eight more runs to win 9-1.
