Tiger Woods Set for Comeback in Tech Golf League
Tiger Woods returns to competitive golf in TGL league, eyes possible Masters appearance in April after disc replacement surgery and series of injuries.
“I keep working on it, trying to get stronger, trying to get more endurance in this body...”
Tiger Woods is gearing up for a comeback, and he's set to tee off in the TGL golf league on Tuesday. This is a big step for Woods, who's been working hard to get back in the game after a series of setbacks.
The 50-year-old had disc replacement surgery back in October, and it's been a tough road to recovery. He's been missing top-level competition since the 2024 British Open, but he's eyeing a return to the Masters in April - and he's not ruling it out.
Tiger Woods is making a comeback in the TGL finals with Jupiter Links, despite his ongoing recovery from lumbar disk replacement surgery and a left Achilles tendon rupture. The 50-year-old golf legend, who hasn't played in a TGL match this season, will join Max Homa and Tom Kim in the lineup for the do-or-die matchup against Los Angeles Golf Club.
Woods, a five-time Masters champion, is looking to help Jupiter Links turn the tide after losing the first match 6-5. His last competitive PGA Tour start was at the 2024 Open Championship at Royal Troon in July 2024.
Tiger Woods is keeping his options open regarding the 2026 Masters at Augusta National, scheduled for April 9th-12th. In a recent interview, he mentioned progressing from chipping and putting practice to hitting full shots, indicating some positive movement in his recovery.
