The Dallas Stars just got a scoring boost, acquiring forward Michael Bunting from the Nashville Predators in exchange for a 2026 third-round pick. Bunting's got 13 goals and 18 assists in 61 games this season, but his contract's up at the end of the year.

This isn't new for Bunting - he's been traded for the third straight season, likely impacting his value.

The Carolina Hurricanes traded him to the Pittsburgh Penguins mid-2023-24, then the Penguins flipped him to the Preds this season. Now, he's headed to the Stars, who are killing it with a 38-14-9 record (85 points) and rank 2nd league-wide.

Bunting, a 2014 4th-round pick, debuted in 2018-19 with Arizona (now Utah Mammoth). He bounced around, spending time in the AHL before joining Toronto in 2021.
