Shohei Ohtani's World Baseball Classic jersey just sold for a staggering amount via MLB Auctions, shattering the previous record for an Ohtani jersey sale. This jersey was worn during Japan's 13-0 win over Chinese Taipei, where Ohtani hit a grand slam, contributing to Japan's record 10 runs in the second inning.

The sale is a testament to Ohtani's global impact on baseball, with 298 bids pouring in. This isn't the only time Ohtani's memorabilia has broken records - he has three cards that have sold for over $1 million, including a $3 million Topps Chrome Gold Logoman patch autographed card.

Shohei Ohtani's World Baseball Classic jersey just shattered records, selling for a whopping $1.5 million via MLB Auctions. This jersey was worn during Japan's 13-0 win over Chinese Taipei, where Ohtani hit a grand slam. The previous record for an Ohtani jersey was $249,999 for a game-worn jersey signed “24 NL MVP,” and another 2023 WBC jersey sold for just over $126,000.

Shohei Ohtani had an incredible 2026 World Baseball Classic, finishing with three home runs and seven RBIs, including five RBIs in Japan's 13-0 win over Chinese Taipei. He also boasted a .462 batting average. Despite Japan's undefeated Pool stage run (4-0), they fell short in the quarterfinals, losing to eventual WBC champions Venezuela.

The reigning back-to-back National League MVP, Shohei Ohtani, is riding high after leading the Los Angeles Dodgers to back-to-back World Series titles. He's widely regarded as the best baseball player in the world and arguably the greatest to ever play the game, with a record-breaking 2025 season that earned him his fourth unanimous MVP award.

Shohei Ohtani's historic 50-50 ball sold for a staggering $4.39 million, setting a new record for the most expensive baseball ever sold. This ball was from his game against the Miami Marlins, where he became the first player in MLB history to hit 50 home runs and steal 50 bases in a single season.

The Dodgers are gearing up for their season opener against the Arizona Diamondbacks on March 26th. Yoshinobu Yamamoto will be the starting pitcher, looking to lead the team to their third consecutive World Series title.
