The Montreal Canadiens stretched their winning streak to five games on Sunday by defeating the Carolina Hurricanes. Nick Suzuki delivered a standout performance with two goals and an assist, sparking a dominant three-goal outburst in the second period.

Meanwhile, their fierce rivals the Boston Bruins staged an unbelievable third-period rally, overcoming a three-goal deficit to edge out the Columbus Blue Jackets 4-3 in a thrilling shootout

Canadiens Take Down Hurricanes 3-1

Montreal stormed back from a 1-0 deficit in the first period, scoring three unanswered goals in the second to secure a 3-1 win over the Hurricanes. Nick Suzuki led the charge with two goals, bringing his season total to 25 and 26, while Cole Caufield added a goal of his own, scoring his 46th of the season.

The win marks Montreal's 42nd of the season, a solid effort from the team. Meanwhile, Carolina dropped to 46-21-6 on the season, but still hold strong in second place in the Eastern Conference.

Bruins Rally to Beat Blue Jackets 4-3

Columbus looked like they had the game in the bag, taking a three-goal lead into the second period. But Boston turned it on, outshooting the Blue Jackets 12-5 in the second and third periods to mount an incredible comeback and secure a 4-3 win.

The Bruins scored twice in the third, with goals from Charlie McAvoy (11) and Pavel Zacha (27) - the latter on the power play - coming less than three minutes apart. The momentum shifted dramatically, and just 11 seconds before the end of regulation, Zacha scored his second goal of the game (28th of the season), sending the game to overtime.

The game went to a shootout after a scoreless OT, and the Bruins came out on top thanks to goals from Fraser Minten and Viktor Arvidsson. Boston improved to 42-24-8 with the win, while Columbus dropped to 38-24-12.

Flyers Edge Stars in OT, Zegras Scores Winner

Trevor Zegras was the hero, scoring his 23rd goal of the season to give the Flyers a thrilling overtime win over the Stars. The victory helps Philly close the gap in the Eastern Conference Wild Card race.

Philly now sits in a three-way tie with Detroit and Ottawa with 86 points, just two points behind Columbus (88) for the second Wild Card spot in the East.

The Flyers are riding high, winning nine of their last 10 games and currently on a three-game win streak with a 37-24-12 record. They're one of the hottest teams in hockey right now. Meanwhile, Dallas has struggled, losing five of their last six and dropping to 44-18-12.

Devils Rally Past Blackhawks 5-3

The Devils mounted an incredible comeback, scoring three goals in the third period to secure a 5-3 win over the Blackhawks. Jack Hughes led the charge with four points (two goals, two assists), and the teams combined for 71 shots on goal (NJ-40, CHI-31).

New Jersey improved to 38-33-2 with the win, while Chicago dropped to 27-34-13.

Perry's Late Goal Lifts Lightning Past Preds 3-2

Nashville's Filip Forsberg tied the game 2-2 with his 34th goal of the season, but Tampa's Corey Perry scored with nearly seven minutes gone in the third to give the Lightning the lead for good. Tampa's veteran performance was key to their sixth win in eight games.

The Lightning (46-21-6) top the Eastern Conference standings, while the Preds (34-31-9) cling to their Wild Card spot in the West.

Shesterkin Leads Rangers to 3-1 Win Over Panthers

The Rangers, the Eastern Conference's worst team and first to be eliminated from playoffs, upset the Panthers 3-1 behind Igor Shesterkin's 26 saves.

The Rangers broke a scoreless tie with three unanswered goals in the third period, improving to 30-35-9 (69 points). Igor Shesterkin's solid goaltending was a big factor in the win.

Florida's struggles continue as they sit at 35-35-3 (73 points), barely ahead of New York in the standings.
