Jannik Sinner absolutely dominated Frances Tiafoe, winning 6-2, 6-2 in just 71 minutes at the Miami Open. The Italian world number two broke Tiafoe's serve in the opening game and never looked back, extending his record of consecutive sets won at ATP Masters 1000 events to 30.

Sinner's next opponent will be either Alexander Zverev or Francisco Cerundolo, as he aims to become the first man since Roger Federer in 2017 to win the “Sunshine Double” by claiming titles in Indian Wells and Miami.
Jannik Sinner is on a roll, extending his ATP Masters 1000 set win streak to 30 and eyeing a “Sunshine Double” with potential titles in Miami and Indian Wells. He's not dropped a set at this level since last October in Shanghai.
Sinner's semifinal opponent will be the winner of Alexander Zverev (Germany) vs Francisco Cerundolo (Argentina). Zverev is currently ranked 4th, while Cerundolo is 19th.
Tiafoe dropped his serve to Sinner in the opening game, then gifted the Italian a 4-1 lead with a wayward forehand in the fifth game. Sinner cruised to the set in 31 minutes, losing just four points on serve.
Tiafoe held serve in the opening game of the second set, saving a break point, but Sinner broke back in the third game, taking a 2-1 lead.
Sinner sealed the match with a love break in the fifth game, Tiafoe's forehand flying wide, and wrapped it up with a hold, improving his head-to-head record against Tiafoe to 6-1.

In the women's semi-finals, world number one Aryna Sabalenka takes on second-ranked Elena Rybakina, while US fourth seed Coco Gauff faces Czech 13th seed Carolina Muchova.
Elena Rybakina, who beat Aryna Sabalenka in the Australian Open final, will faced her in a thrilling rematch in Miami. This clash marks the first time the world's top two players meet outside the WTA Finals before a final since Martina Hingis and Jana Novotna in the 1998 US Open semifinals.

Defending champion Aryna Sabalenka is chasing the “Sunshine Double,” with titles in Miami and Indian Wells. She beat Elena Rybakina in the Indian Wells final and leads their head-to-head 9-7.
Sabalenka faced Rybakina in the Miami Open semi-finals, while Coco Gauff takes on Carolina Muchova, in which Sabalenka and Gauff won respectively, they are set to meet in the final.

Elena Rybakina was eyeing her 100th Masters 1000 match win and a shot at the Miami title, after being runner-up in 2023 and 2024.
Coco Gauff has a perfect 5-0 record against Carolina Muchova, with their last meeting being the Australian Open round of 16.
Coco Gauff, 22, is chasing her sixth WTA Masters 1000 final, which would make her the third-youngest to achieve the feat.
Carolina Muchova, the 2023 French Open runner-up, is seeking her eighth career WTA final and third title, after wins in Seoul (2019) and Qatar (2026). She ended losing to Gauff at the semis.
