Germany's coach, Julian Nagelsmann, has confirmed that he'll be making some changes to the lineup for their friendly match against Ghana on Monday. This comes after their thrilling 4-3 win over Switzerland on Friday, and Nagelsmann wants to give some players a rest.

The changes are likely to include Stuttgart keeper Alexander Nuebel starting, with club teammate Deniz Undav also getting playing time. Nagelsmann mentioned that some players who've come back from injury will get a chance to play, and he's not promising everyone will be happy with their playing time.

Julian Nagelsmann announced that Stuttgart's goalkeeper Alexander Nubel will start against Ghana, alongside his club teammate, forward Deniz Undav, who is guaranteed playing time. This decision comes as Nagelsmann looks to rotate his squad, giving opportunities to players who may have come back from injury.

“Tomorrow's game is a bit different because we have to rotate a bit ‌more in order to play some players who may have come ‌from injury,” Nagelsmann told a press conference on Sunday.

“We want the players to be fit and healthy when the crunch time of the season comes.”

Nagelsmann, mentioned that players are still juggling busy club seasons, with many involved in multiple competitions before the World Cup kicks off in June. This makes it challenging for Nagelsmann to finalize his squad.

The upcoming match against Ghana is crucial as it's the last friendly before Nagelsmann announces his World Cup squad in May. This announcement will determine which players will represent Germany in the tournament.

Players Aware Of Their World Cup Chances

“I cannot promise every player will be happy in the end. There will be discussions, that's ‌clear,” Nagelsmann said of his World Cup squad.

“Every player knows exactly where they stand; they know if their spot is safe or not.

“Two months before the World Cup, I think it is important for every player to know where they stand.”

Germany's World Cup Group E draw is set, featuring Ecuador, Curacao, and Ivory Coast, with matches scheduled from June 11th to July 19th. This is a tough but wivable group for the four-time champions, who haven't reached a major international final since their 2014 World Cup win in Brazil.

Group E Match Schedule

Nagelsmann, is looking to rebuild the team and bring back success. With talented players like Florian Wirtz, Joshua Kimmich, and Serge Gnabry, Germany is favored to win Group E.

Germany kicks off their World Cup campaign in Houston, Texas on June 14th against Curacao. It's a tough opener, but Nagelsmann's team will be looking to get off to a strong start.

Germany's next match is against Ivory Coast in Toronto on June 20th, followed by their final group game against Ecuador in New York on June 25th. A solid run in Group E could set them up nicely for the knockout stages.

Ghana, on the other hand, is in Group L alongside Croatia, England, and Panama.
