Fiorentina, a former Serie A powerhouse, had a shaky start, conceding early to Inter. But they showed resilience to level the game and keep their survival hopes alive.


Inter Milan burst into the lead early, thanks to Francesco Pio Esposito's stunning header from Nicolo Barella's cross, just 40 seconds into the game. However, Fiorentina fought back, creating several chances to equalize in a lively first half.




Fiorentina's Paolo Vanoli's side slowly gained momentum, and they had plenty of opportunities to level the score. Despite their slow start, La Viola showed signs of life, and it wasn't looking like a walkover for Inter.


Moise Kean came close to scoring, with a slide attempt on Marco Brescianini's cross going just wide. Albert Guðmundsson also had a chance, but his connection with Dodo's delivery was off, and the ball went behind.


Kean's late first-half goal was ruled out for offside, snatching away Fiorentina's chance to go into halftime with momentum.




Fiorentina seemed to lose steam after halftime, allowing Inter to create chances to extend their lead. However, Manuel Akanji and Marcus Thuram missed their opportunities from corner kicks. But, just like the first half, Fiorentina fought back and earned a well-deserved equalizer in the 77th minute. Cher Ndour pounced on a rebound, firing home from close range after Yann Sommer parried Gudmundsson's shot.


The hosts continued to push for a win, with Jack Harrison's shot going just wide of the post. Inter almost snatched a late winner, but David de Gea made a crucial save to deny Pio Esposito. The draw leaves Inter six points clear at the top, while Fiorentina moves two points above the relegation zone.
