Bournemouth extended their unbeaten Premier League run to nine games with a 0-0 draw against Brentford at the Vitality Stadium.

Marcus Tavernier's shots hit post twice, Evanilson's goal ruled offside as Bournemouth draw with Brentford...

Bournemouth's unbeaten run continues! They drew 0-0 with Brentford, extending their Premier League streak to nine games (4 wins, 5 draws).

The game was tight, but Bournemouth had the first real chance through Marcus Tavernier, who curled just wide. Alex Scott and James Hill also had shots, but no goals.

Ryan Christie had a great chance, rounding Caoimhin Kelleher before taking the ball out of play. But the best chance before halftime belonged to Tavernier, who had the only shot on target, working Kelleher from a tight angle. Brentford struggled, with only two attempts on goal, and suffered a setback when Rico Henry injured out, replaced by Kristoffer Ajer.

The first half was low on goalmouth action, with both teams heading into the break goalless. Bournemouth were looking for their league-high 13th draw, and they were 45 minutes away from achieving it.

Tavernier was involved in the best chance early in the second half, clipping the post with a slide-in effort. He also went down in the box, but no penalty was given, despite appearing to be tripped by Michael Kayode.

Brentford had a weak shot on target in the 73rd minute through Dango Ouattara, who failed to get a clean contact. However, Bournemouth's goalkeeper, Dorde Petrovic, had a better save shortly after, denying Sepp van den Berg a goal.

Heading into the latter stages, Bournemouth remained threatening themselves, and Tavernier could not believe his luck when he struck the post again from a narrow angle.

Evanilson then thought he provided the magic needed to find a possible winner, but his goal was disallowed for offside after some neat footwork.

Bournemouth's spirited performance wasn't enough to secure a win against Brentford, extending their winless streak in head-to-heads to nine games (D3, L6). Brentford picked up a point, keeping them seventh in the table, four points ahead of Bournemouth in ninth.
