FC Copenhagen suffers another blow with 2-1 defeat to FC Fredericia, highlighting their disappointing season...

FC Copenhagen's miserable season just got worse. They suffered a 2-1 defeat at home to FC Fredericia, extending their winless streak to eight matches with just one point to show for it.

The Danish champions were outplayed by 10-man Fredericia, who shocked the Parken Stadium crowd with two goal. This loss adds to Copenhagen's growing list of disappointments this season.

FC Fredericia shocked FC Copenhagen

Copenhagen with an early goal. A 23rd-minute delivery from Sofus Johannesen deflected off Junnosuke Suzuki, leaving goalkeeper Runar Alex Runarsson helpless.

Things got worse for FC Copenhagen. Zanka took too long on the ball, and Fredericia pounced - Friday Etim scored to make it 2-0.

Coach Jacob Neestrup made changes at halftime, bringing on Mads Emil Madsen and Robert Silva, but it didn't change the game. Copenhagen pushed hard, but couldn't find a way back.

FC Copenhagen thought they had pulled one back ten minutes from the end when Mohamed Elyounoussi capitalized on Fredericia keeper Etienne Green failing to hang on to a shot from distance. However, the goal was ruled out as Elyounoussi was adjudged to be in an offside position.

In injury time, the hosts managed to cut the deficit when Youssoufa Moukoko converted a penalty after Svenn Crone had brought down Viktor Dadason in the box and subsequently was sent off. But it was too little too late for the hosts, who are now left in 8th place, six points from the relegation zone in the Danish Superliga.

Silkeborg IF Snap Winless Streak

Silkeborg IF ended their winless streak with a bang. They traveled to Randers and came away with a convincing 3-0 win, marking their first victory of the year.

The visitors dominated the first half, dictating play and creating chances. Their patience paid off with two goals in five minutes, from the 28th to 33rd minute, giving them a firm grip on the game.

Tonni Adamsen directed the ball into the net from a fine delivery from Sofus Berger, giving Silkeborg an early advantage. Shortly after, Adamsen turned provider for Callum McCowat, who scored from the edge of the box with a stinging drive.

Randers coach Rasmus Bertelsen made three substitutions from the start of the second half, and even though the home team improved slightly, they never got the goal that could have turned the tide in their favour. Instead, Silkeborg put the final nail in the Randers coffin 16 minutes from the end when Andreas Poulsen scored with a terrific long-distance shot
